The CD was recorded in 2002 at Sweet Silence Studios, Copenhagen by the grammywinning producer Flemming Rasmussen and was released on november 30, 2002. The staged version of On this Planet was created in october and november 2002 and it was directed and designed by Martin Tulinius in collaboration with videoartist Mikal Bing and lightdesigner Lars Egegaard Sørensen.
